What to Wear for Spring & Summer Engagement Photoshoot

Outfit selection is one of the most daunting tasks for couples planning for their pre-wedding engagement or save-the-date photo session. Don’t worry, here are a few ideas you may want to consider.
Wear clothes that make you feel comfortable & confident

The engagement session should be fun and relaxed so wear what brings the best out of you. Choose something classic & timeless outfit and shooting pastel cool and natural colours. The first half of spring is still cooler; carry light warm clothing.
Matching & Print..no no
Look for complementary colours but don’t match, and distracting prints are not ideal for a portrait session. Keep it simple and soothing. The focus should be on the couple’s expressions, emotions and fun, not clothing. A subtle floral print is acceptable for the bride-to-be. Personally, I am a big fan of complementary bold colours to show the energy and excitement of couples.
Tie it up with your wedding day theme
You may already have decided what you are going to wear on your wedding day. Be mindful of how your engagement photos colour going to speak on the entire album. You want to create a smooth synergy; otherwise, your album will not give you the theme you envisioned. For example, a bride can wear a light blue jumpsuit if the groom is going to wear the same hue on the wedding day.
No more than two outfits
You don’t want to waste time changing outfits, utilizing the time being fully present in moments and keeping the photography excitement high for your big day. An engagement session is like a trailer of a movie you want to show what’s coming up. Again keep it short and sweet.
Bonus- Any accessory can bring a different look in no time.
